Posed and Unknown

Who cannot resist the chance to be caught in an Image or dare the camera while hiding their discomfort. The Posed or staged shoot in my experience I have always found that the most shy and lonesome of people can be the most revealing mentally as well as physically. My thought while looking at these images is ‘are they the same free spirits that I knew when I approached them with a camera? Would the subjects know and remember how He or She looked at the time? Did they go in the right direction for themselves and achieve personal missions?’

The Unknown street subject or random location of individuals is personal, when reflecting on the images and the possible time consumption and peril partaken to achieve these works. Once the shutter is released the individual or persons are presevered. When looking through photographic records my mind wanders over the black & white, sepia tone, and color images of these people. ‘are they still alive? Would they look the same and what other story can their face show me of their lives? Would I remember them today? Would they remember me?’

We may forget, we may pass on or even evolve!
But a photo is forever…
